Coach / Trainer / Facilitator

> Goals of the role

The primary focus of the role is to train and empower individuals and groups in the application of innovation tools that directly support their own corporate innovation challenges. To this end, TOI coaches/trainers/facilitators refer to a diverse tool cloud of innovation methodologies, from which they pick, combine and customize the components of tailored trainings and project formats, to precisely address the innovation needs of respective clients. TOI representatives not only conduct trainings, but accompany the client throughout their projects, as a neutral partner; to ensure the successful goal-orientated application of the applied innovation tools.

> Primary tasks

» Correspond with existing and potential clients

» Interview client stakeholders about innovation challenges, and identify possible correlations to innovation tools and methodologies

» Outline methodological approaches to address innovation challenges, and draft customized training and project formats

» Develop customized templates and frameworks of innovation tools

» Teach individuals and groups innovation tools and methodologies, and accompany them when applying such tools in the context of a project

» Ensure quality and correctness of stage gate deliverables

» Update, amend and redefine innovation tools, in order to make them fit the client’s company structure

» Draft training manuals that reflect both theoretical and practical trainings

» Answer to the general requirements of project management

> Secondary tasks

» Calculate the required resources and timelines of projects

» Administrative duties, including issuing invoices, documentation of travel expenses etc.

» Coordinate outsourced processes, such as user recruitment or quantitative surveys with market
research partners

» Represent TOI at trade fairs and give keynotes

> Requirements

» University degree in innovation management, design management or equivalent

» Must have a sound command of innovation tools and methodologies

» At least 3 years of experience in innovation management

» Experience in Project Management required and supervisory experience preferred

» Must have the social, organizational and leadership skills to work across multidisciplinary, cross-divisional
and intercultural teams to impact all stakeholders regardless of reporting structure

» Must have the communication skills to explain and teach innovation tools in English. 

» German language skills are a plus, and any further languages are welcome

» Must possess good organizational skills, be detail oriented and capable of multi-tasking when meeting deadlines

» Must be ambitious and perform duties with a high energy level and have a sense of urgency whenever required

» Ability to effectively work with and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive materials and information provided by clients

» Must be a problem solver and work well independently and in a team environment

» Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Skills in Adobe Suit are certainly a plus

» Ability and willingness to travel (up to 50% of the work time)
